peanut butter and chocolate is one famous duo that has been tantalizing taste buds for decades. so here at the i won! kitchen we took those basic ingredients and created something even better. introducing our recipe for:

preparation:

we stayed away from any kind of nut butter, especially peanut for obvious reasons, and used sunflower seed butter instead. spread each cracker with sunbutter and add just a drop of honey to sweeten and sandwich together. all ready for their chocolate bath.

after sandwiching two crackers together with sunbutter, dip them into the melted, organic chocolate. this part’s a bit tricky and messy. but then again, it’s chocolate, so who cares!

place chocolate coated crackers on a flat plate or cookie sheet and place in the freezer for a few minutes to harden. the saltiness of the crackers, the sweetness of the chocolate, and the nuttiness of the sunflower butter is a match made in heaven.

you’ll have a hard time waiting those few minutes, but once you bite into these crunchy, chocolatey, nutty treats, you’ll be hooked! all it takes is four ingredients and a few minutes of your time, and you’ve got a delicious, healthy, organic snack chockfull of plant-based protein and vegan ingredients suitable for any diet.

chocolate pudding is something no one should have to give up. so make it healthy and you can have it any day of the week. we’ve got a recipe for guilt-free chocolate pudding that is vegan, raw, and gluten-free. not only that but it’s also full of antioxidants and rich in magnesium and healthy fats.

and just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, this guilt-free chocolate pudding is perfect for dipping with our cinnamon french toast protein chips. so grab your food processor and let’s get cooking!

ingredients:

preparation:

  • place all ingredients into your food processor and blend until smooth.
  • place in the fridge until chilled – about 1/2 hour.
  • garnish with spirals of orange zest, or if you prefer, a sprig of mint, some cocoa nibs, or raspberries – it’s your choice!

we got the idea for this recipe from i won! organics ambassador mandy vleeming (@mandyvleeming), who loves dipping into chocolate pudding with our cinnamon french toast flavor chips. she says:

while some of you are just coming around to the idea of quinoa and eating more plant-based proteins, the rest of us are exploring new recipes with red quinoa. yes, it comes in different colors! as a complete source of protein, quinoa is unique in that it offers all nine essential amino acids.

on top of that, quinoa is high in lysine – an amino acid with anti-inflammatory properties that helps to balance out arginine. red quinoa is higher in fiber than white quinoa and has a slightly firmer texture. it will set you up with a healthy dose of iron, copper, thiamin and vitamin B6. copper assists the absorption of iron, so quinoa is truly perfect for any fitness enthusiast looking for an energy boost.

this rich and hearty black bean and quinoa soup is ideal for batch cooking or meal prep and will take about 30 minutes to create. paired up with i won! organic protein chips will give you all the muscle-building power you need to perform at your best.

ingredients:

  • 2-3 tbsp pure olive oil
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 green pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and chopped
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • dash of fresh ground black pepper
  • 4 cups vegetable stock
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup of red quinoa, cooked, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can of tomato puree
  • 1 can diced tomatoes in tomato juice

finishing touches:

  • ¼ cup sweet corn (per serving)
  • 1 tbsp sweet red pepper, finely chopped (per serving)
  • sprig of fresh cilantro to garnish

directions

  1. heat the oil in a medium-sized saucepan over a medium heat, and add the garlic, onions, green pepper, carrot, and jalapeno pepper
  2. cook for about 6 minutes
  3. add the chili powder and ground black pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes
  4. add the vegetable stock, bay leaves, quinoa, black beans, tomato puree, and diced tomatoes and bring to a boil
  5. reduce heat, partially cover, and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is done
  6. remove the bay leaves
  7. add the corn and sweet red pepper to each bowl before serving
  8. finish with a sprig of cilantro and grated cheese (optional)
  9. serve with your favorite flavor of i won! organic protein chips

trust us to break with convention and come up with a recipe for hummus that contains no chickpeas! that’s right! we’re mixing things up again and as always, we find ourselves in the kitchen with a few choice ingredients and a craving for dip. white beans, roasted carrots, and tahini – what about a creamy hummus spiced up with everybody’s favorite i won! sriracha protein chips.

for an extra creamy texture, you’ll want to roast your carrots for this recipe. roasted carrots offer a sweeter, richer flavor than raw carrots and blend better too. packed full of dietary fiber, vitamins a, k, and b6, and manganese, carrots are a powerful antioxidant high in carotenoids with cancer-fighting qualities. a smart addition to any diet.

white beans also contain antioxidants and are a rich source of iron, potassium, and magnesium. high in fiber and protein, white beans will promote heart health and help to regulate your metabolism. that’s good news for anyone who’s diabetic or trying to drop a few pounds.

sriracha carrot hummus

ingredients:

  • 2 cups baby carrots, roasted
  • ½ orange pepper, roasted
  • 1 jalapeno, seeded (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • 1 large can white beans
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • ¼ cup fresh squeezed lemon juice

preparation:

  • heat the oven to 400F.
  • sprinkle some olive oil and salt onto the carrots, orange pepper, jalapeno pepper, and garlic cloves
  • roast in the oven for 20 minutes, or until tender.
  • drain and rinse the white beans.
  • blend in the blender with the remaining ingredients.
  • add cooled, roasted carrot medley to the blender and blend until smooth.
  • you might have to add a little more olive oil or lemon juice to get the desired consistency you want.
  • add salt to taste.
  • sprinkle with paprika and drizzle with sriracha sauce for an extra kick.
  • serve with i won! sriracha protein chips.

that’s a healthy snack packed full of protein and no added sugar.

ingredients

  • orzo pasta
  • asparagus
  • charred sweet peppers
  • herbed feta cheese
  • fresh baby spinach
  • sea salt, cracked black pepper to taste

preparation

  • cook, drain and chill your orzo pasta.
  • grill the asparagus with your sweet red, yellow or orange peppers.
  • wash, drain and dry your fresh baby spinach.
  • add all ingredients to the chilled orzo pasta.

organic ingredients

  • shredded iceberg lettuce
  • black beans
  • sweet corn niblets
  • orange bell peppers
  • avocado
  • cherry tomatoes
  • grated cheese
  • i won! protein chips

dressing

  • chopped cilantro
  • fresh lime juice
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • minced garlic
  • minced onions
  • salt & pepper
  • optional: pinch of stevia for a sweeter dressing

preparation

  • shred the lettuce and fill a bowl about a third of the way up.
  • chop, slice and dice your veggies just the way you like them and arrange on top of the lettuce.
  • mix up the dressing and pour over your salad (about 1 tbsp per serving).
  • sprinkle with the grated cheese.

ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup minced celery
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • the juice of 1 orange
  • pinch of chopped mint
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar or 2/3 cup maple syrup or stevia to taste

depending on how strict your diet is, your sugar options will vary. start by adding a little of your sweetener and adjusting to taste.

ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup organic pumpkin puree
  • 1 medium sweet potato, baked and pureed
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped sweet red pepper
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground mustard
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • salt

preparation:

  1. using only organic ingredients, mash the pumpkin and sweet potato together in a bowl or blender.
  2. add olive oil, lemon juice, spices and blend.
  3. lastly, add the finely chopped sweet red pepper and mix with a spoon or use it as a garnish.
